Sete Cidades – Sao Miguel – Azoren/Azores
Das 800 Einwohner große Örtchen Sete Cidades liegt in einem Kratertal und direkt an den zwei großen und wohl auch bekanntesten Kraterseen von Sao Miguel – dem Lagoa Azul und Lagoa Verde, welche von einer kleinen Brücke getrennt werden.
The small village Sete Cidades has 800 inhabitant and is located in a caldera valley at the two big and famous lakes of Sao Miguel – the Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde, which are seperated by a bridge.
Igreja Sao Nicolau
Von Pinien flankiert liegt die im Kern des kleines Ortes gelegene Kirche Igreja Sao Nicolau. Sie ist aufgrund der weißen Wände und dem grauen Vulkangestein ein typisches Beispiel für Kirchen auf den Azoren.
The church Igreja Sao Nicolau is located at the end of a path flanked by pine trees. Because of the white walls with grey volcanic stones its building is typical of churches on the azores.
