Heute noch ein weiteres Gola di Gorroppu-Panorama. Dieses wurde ziemlich weit in der Schlucht aufgenommen. Von der Position aus kann man nicht mehr viel weiter in die Schlucht eindringen, wenn man keine Kletterausrüstung hat. 
Today another photograph of Gola di Gorroppu. This photo is taken pretty far in the canyon where you can not go that much deeper without a climbing-equipment.
Nun folgt der 2. Teil meiner, bei der Wanderung zur Schlucht Gola di Gorroppu, aufgenommenen Panoramen. Das Bild selbst wurde schon in der Schlucht aufgenommen.
Today I present you the second part of the panoramas of my hiking trip to the canyon Gola Gola di Gorroppu. It was already taken inside the canyon.
Nach einiger Zeit, die seit dem letzten Post vergangen ist, und einem Urlaub später melde ich mich hier mal wieder zurück und möchte gleich ein Panorama aus dem Urlaub auf Sardinien zeigen.
Zu sehen ist der Fluss Riu Flumineddu und das Supramonte-Gebirge. Entstanden ist das bei einer Wanderung zur Schlucht Gola di Gorroppu, welche ich noch in den nächsten Blog-Artikeln zeigen werde. Die Wanderung war 16,4km lang und dauerte knapp 6,5 Stunden, wobei dies natürlich keine reine Wanderzeit ist, sondern sie beinhaltet auch sämtliche eingelegten Pausen zum Ausruhen, Fotos machen usw. Die Ansicht, die auf der gezeigten Aufnahme zu sehen ist, entstand am Anfang der Wanderung bei einem Abstecher abseits des eigentlichen Wanderwegs.
A long time has passed since my last post on this blog, but now I am back with some impressions of my this year vacation on Sardinia.
The photograph shows the river Riu Flumineddu and the mountain Supramonte. It has been taken on a hiking trip to the canyon Gola di Gorroppu, which I want to show to you in on of my next posts. The hike itself lasts about 6,5 hours (includes pauses for rest, taking photographs and so on) and was 16,4km long. The view on the panorama has been taken at the beginning of the trip on a side trip apart from the ordinary way.
Caltagirone ist eine Stadt, welche zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt wurde. Es ist eine traditionelle Stadt der Keramikherstellung.
Das Bild zeigt den Piazza del Municipio, welcher direkt an der bekannten Keramiktreppe Santa Maria del Monte angrenzt. Zudem kann man unter anderem noch die Galleria Luigi Sturzo (rechts) und den Palazzo dell’Aquila (Mitte) sehen.
The city of Caltagirone has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage – cultural site. Caltagirone is a traditional home of the ceramics production.
Todays photograph shows the Piazza del Municipio, which is located in the near to the popular ceramics stairway Santa Maria del Monte. Additionally you can see the Palazzo dell’Aquila in the middle and the Galleria Luigi Sturzo on the right side.
Die Kirche, welche auf dem Bild von heute zu sehen ist, ist der Dom San Nicola di Bari in Termini Imerese, welcher im 15. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Im Inneren ist zudem ein gemaltes Holzkreuz von Ruzzolone aus dem Jahr 1484 zu sehen.
The cathedral San Nicola di Bari, which can be seen on the photograph, is located in the centre of Termini Imerese and was built in the 15th century. In the inner you can see a painted cross from 1484 by Ruzzolone.

Now I want to show two further pictures of the river of Alcantara and the canyon Gole dell’Alcantara
Die Alcantaraschluchten Gole dell’Alcantara wurden über tausende von Jahren von Alcantarafluss in das Lavagestein gefressen. Heute haben sie eine Höhe von etwa 20m und sind etwa 4-5m breit. Durch das Zusammenwirken der langsam erstarrten Lava und der Wassererosion entstanden die markanten basaltischen Säulen.
Und trotz der sommerlichen Temperaturen wird das Wasser kaum wärmer als 12° C…
During thousands of years the river of Alcantara has shaped the canyon Gole dell’Alcantara out of the lava rock. The canyon is nowadays approx. 20m high and 4-5m wide. The remarkable basaltic columns appeared because of the combination of the slowly freezing lava and the erosion of the water. Despite the hot temperatures, the water will barely become warmer than 12° C.
Heute möchte ich euch ein weiteres Bild von Sizilien zeigen. Es ist der Alcantara-Fluss, etwas oberhalb von den bekannten Schluchten Gole dell’Alcantara.

Das zweite Bild aus Castelbuono ist diesmal vom Ortszentrum. Hier sind weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt zu sehen. Dazu gehört die Kirche Matrice Vecchia, welche um 1350 erbaut wurde und der Brunnen Fontana della Venere Ciprea, welcher aus dem 15. Jahrhundert ist.
My second photograph from Castelbuono shows the centre of the city. There you can see further sights like the church Matrice Vecchie that was built in about 1350 or the fountain Fontana della Venere Ciprea which was built in the 15th century.
